Mann Ki Baat @100 Quiz

Mann Ki Baat broadcast by All India Radio is considered one of the most widely broadcast radio programs with the world’s highest listener audience. It is a trendsetter program that reached the masses and helped to reinvent the importance of radio as a medium of communication. 100 episodes of the program have been broadcast without any break by a head of the State is history unparalleled. The broadcast became viral not only among adults, its highly popular among school children, college students, farmers, laymen, and all categories of people.

Each episode of Mann Ki Baat is a repository of knowledge covering Indian tradition, culture, heritage, history, freedom struggle, great leaders, development initiatives of government, positive and innovative initiatives of citizens in the nook and corner of the country, science, innovations, and whatnot. The children of the country should invariably listen to them and learn from the narratives.

In order to encourage and motivate the youngsters to listen and learn from the MKB programs, the Global Givers Foundation in collaboration with NYKS and NSS under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India conducted a MANN KI BAAT@100 quiz competition among the school and college students.

The school-level competitions were inaugurated at Saraswathi Vidyalaya, Vattiyurkkavu, Thiruvananthapuram by Sri. V. Muraleedharan, Hon’ble Minister of State for External and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt of India in a function chaired by Sri. Rajamohan, Chairman, Saraswathi Vidyalaya. After the institutional competitions, the competitions were conducted at the Taluk level to select the students to visit Delhi during the Independence Day programmes enabling them to join the festival. Students from 21 colleges, 37 higher secondary schools, and 53 high schools participated in the taluk-level competitions.

The winners of the competitions visited Delhi and got an opportunity to observe the Independence Day celebrations in Delhi and to interact with the Hon’ble Rashtrapathi, the Hon’ble Vice President of India, and various Union Ministers, historical places, and cultural heritages.

Certificates and mementos were distributed to all the winners at the institutional level and those who visited Delhi at a function held at AJ College of Science and Technology, Thonnakkal by Sri. V. Muraleedharan, Hon’ble Minister of State for External and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt of India.
